This is a vast personal collection of tobacco pipes going back a 1000 years in South America. When Europeans got tobacco around 1500 the collection expands with fantastic artistry and different materials. The guided tour is absolutely worth the history and insights.

I visited this place out of pure curiosity and was really surprised by how big and diverse the pipe collection actually is. The guy was very kind and took the time to explain the history of the museum and the pipes from different parts of the world. What makes this place special is that it’s very different from big, crowded museums. You can ask questions and have a conversation with someone who knows a lot. I really recommend this unique museum, full of interesting pipes and curious objects.
