Really cool spot to check out and catch a movie. We went for a night time showing and caught the sunset before our movie. Then, on the way out at 10:45pm, the restaurant/deck was lit nicely and had some music playing (maybe a dj?). Not super busy but lively and kind staff as well. I’d like to go back to see the exhibits soon!

A stunning architectural landmark, the Eye Filmmuseum is as visually captivating as the cinema it celebrates. The building is a spectacular piece of modern design. It has a fascinating history, having been transformed from the former Shell laboratory into a cultural hub. The permanent exhibition is well-curated and engaging, making it a must-visit for film enthusiasts. Getting there is seamless and part of the fun: simply hop on a quick, free ferry ride from Amsterdam Central Station.
