What a nice surprise! I was imagining to be smaller, instead there are a central garden with all the houses around, a functioning and open church and a second (closed end) street, sculptures dotted around on the front of buildings and in the garden, and water pumps no longer in use. The atmosphere is calm, quiet and brings you back in time. You really feel like in a movie set, and yet you are minutes away from the city centre. There's a multilingual explanation panel at the entrance. Absolutely loved it and recommend visiting!

A hidden gem in Antwerpen, with so much history and PEACE... (Hearing the birds singing in the beautiful garden is really priceless). A nice church of Saint Katherine (with the watch still functional!) and tiny quiet homes.
