I visited many bars in Antwerp, but this place stays with you. The atmosphere is impossible to fake — centuries-old brick walls, dim lighting, live jazz echoing through the room and a crowd that genuinely comes for the music. De Muze feels less like a bar and more like a living piece of Antwerp’s cultural history. Since 1964, countless musicians and artists have passed through here, and you can still feel that spirit today. The live performances are intimate, authentic and full of character. A rare place where history, architecture and music come together naturally. If you want to experience the soul of Antwerp, spend an evening here.

Loved this bar. Good beer and very friendly staff. Arrived around 14:30 and stayed for an hour so can’t speak to the shows but the ambiance and music playing was jazzy and nice. Bartender was happy to recommend Belgium beers for me and I enjoyed each, which were not too expensive either. Great spot
