Newly refurbished house of former famous opera singer Maria Callas converted to the museum. Very well maintained. Nice and clean. Plenty of information. Three floors. Beautiful view of the Acropolis of Athens from the terrace on the top floor. Very polite, friendly and helpful staff. Cafe and souvenir shop on the ground floor. Highly recommended to visit this museum.

A great museum dedicated to one of the world’s most distinguished opera singers. The tour starts from the second floor, which includes special rooms depicting the ambience of Callas’ most famous operas (“Norma”, “Tosca”, and “La Traviata”). One can also watch the masterclasses she delivered at the prestigious Juilliard School in New York. The exhibition on the first floor traces various chapters in Callas’ tumultuous life and career. The café on the ground floor is very nice too, but it is quite overpriced.
