★★★★★8 months agoDefinitely worth the uphill climb, especially at sunset. Stop at Socrates’ prison on way up! Phenomenal 360° views. Of course, seeing the Acropolis w/Parthenon glowing in sunlight is beyond imagination.

★★★★★2 months agoPhilopappos Hill is, without a doubt, one of the best places in Athens. The views are absolutely stunning, especially around sunset. You get a perfect panorama of the Acropolis, the city stretching all the way to the sea, and the surrounding hills. Unlike some of the more famous viewpoints, it feels peaceful and authentic, with plenty of space to sit, walk, and simply enjoy the atmosphere. The paths are beautiful, surrounded by pine trees and ancient ruins, and the whole area has a relaxed local vibe. Watching the Acropolis light up after sunset was the highlight of my time in Athens.
