“My husband Gregory and I visited the Three Countries Bridge early December 2025 for 2 weeks. The largest pedestrian bridge in the world where 3 countries meet at the point of the bridge which includes Germany, France and Switzerland. It was a beautiful experience. We explored all Christmas markets in all 3 countries. We took the tram to Basel and Zurich. It was so beautiful to see all the Christmas lights and decorations. The crowds were huge everywhere we went. When I tell you Europe go all out for Christmas markets it would be an understatement. It was an experience we will never forget.”

“Castle Ruine in Dornach, offers a fascinating glimpse into history, perched on a hill with breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. The ruins, though partially restored, maintain a romantic, ancient charm. It’s a great spot for a peaceful walk, a picnic, or simply to explore and soak in the panoramic scenery.”

“Solitude Park is one of the most beautiful green spaces in Basel. The park offers lovely walking paths, peaceful surroundings, and beautiful views of the Rhine. It’s the perfect place to relax, enjoy nature, or simply take a break from the city. Whether you’re visiting for a quiet walk, a picnic, or to watch the sunset, the atmosphere is always calm and enjoyable. A wonderful spot to unwind and one of my favorite parks in Basel.”

“Wow, 5 stars for food, ambiance, and service. Each dish was so well executed. I had the turbot with risotto; the fish was perfectly tender, and I loved the tangy sauce that tied the risotto together. The salad was also excellent- so fresh, with crunchy, flavorful bits on top and just the right amount of dressing. And I love that they wheel out their dessert offerings so you can point and choose, like a dim sum cart ha! :)”
Les Trois Rois

“We chose Brasserie Les Trois Rois for a special occasion, and it delivered on every level from the moment we arrived. We started the evening with a glass of Ruinart Champagne, a beautiful choice that set the tone perfectly, accompanied by fresh bread and a complimentary soup that was a lovely touch, delicately finished with golden croutons and a drizzle of olive oil. For mains, I opted for the beef shoulder with foie gras, which was an absolutely rich, tender and beautifully executed. My husband chose the ribeye steak, equally impressive and cooked to perfection. Both dishes were accompanied by seasonal vegetables and pommes frites that were crisp and golden. The highlight to finish was the dessert trolley, a theatrical and indulgent way to end a meal. We followed with coffee, and were then treated to petit fours. The standout was a truffle chocolate that quite literally burst with what tasted like fresh passionfruit, an unexpected delight. Throughout the entire evening, we were looked after by Theo, who was attentive, and gracious, even on what was clearly a very busy service night. Overall, a memorable evening, thank you!”

“There are special occasions, and then there are afternoons that remind you why fine dining is an art form. Celebrating Valentine’s Day at Restaurant Stücki with my husband was one of those rare, enjoyable lunches, an experience that lingered long after the last bite! We settled in for a luxurious nine course journey, and from the very first dish, it was clear we were in extraordinarily capable hands. The Perigord Truffle course, that stunning miso egg yolk with walnut cauliflower, was an absolute standout. Rich, umami forward, and deeply satisfying, it was the kind of dish you quietly hope never ends. The Duck with Szechuan glaze and ginger red cabbage was equally magnificent: bold, beautifully balanced, and cooked with real confidence. The desserts are where Tanja’s genius truly shines. The Coffee Foam with nutmeg ice cream and cantucci brittle, the dreamy Lemon Granité with olive oil mousse and buckwheat crumble, each one felt like a little gift. A special mention must go to the Valentine’s Day cocktail, a perfectly refreshing and elegant creation that set the most wonderful tone for the meal. And what a treat to meet Tanja herself. Warm, gracious, and clearly passionate about every detail on the plate. Meeting the chef behind such a remarkable menu was the cherry on top. The service was attentive without ever being intrusive. We spent over three hours at the table and savoured every single moment. Not once did we feel rushed; the afternoon unfolded at exactly the right pace. Restaurant Stücki is sophisticated, and soulful, without being pretentious. A nice touch was the Valentine’s Day chocolate gift. Thank you for a wonderful dining experience!”
