★★★★★3 months agoFun experience. Not overly difficult after doing the various towers in Lucca. It was nice to be able to get my wife up to the top. You need to sign a little waiver to do the last part. It’s more ladderish but not too bad. Great view of the piazza.

★★★★★7 months agoAn absolutely mesmerizing view over central Bologna and the hills beyond, the Piazza Maggiore below, the city’s famous towers all around you, and no annoying plexiglass barriers or steel cages to ruin your enjoyment of the experience. They also do a great job regulating the number of people so you have plenty of space to walk around the tower and soak up the views. The €10 ticket also gets you access to the city collection of artworks in the same building. Recommend going around sunset but the views are extraordinary no matter the time of day. This is my second trip up and will return next time I am in Bologna. Don’t miss it.
