A wonderful landmark! Read into the history as provides important context. When we went, the surrounding area did not have any festivals so it was peaceful and quiet. Close by is a tram stop called Quinconces. It is a beautiful place and I would recommend visiting it. It is one of those places that you can only appreciate by visiting in person. The landmark itself is amazing to look at and take pictures in front of. Also, close by are some wine bars and restaurants. The only thing the place is missing are some benches and shade.
