★★★★★5 months agoThe Musée des Beaux-Arts in Bordeaux, France, exhibits a painting by Alfred Smith (1854-1936) of a winter morning on Place Pey Berland in Bordeaux. Also present is an 1806 painting of the bustling Quais de Bordeaux by Pierre Lacour the father. Lacour himself founded the museum in 1801 and was its first curator. A marble funerary sculpture by Rinaldo Carnielo (1853-1910) of Mozart expiring (1877) is another highlight.

★★★★★a month agoGreat museum with a good variety of exhibitions. While not the most famous, all the paintings are of good representation of the era and quite a few local artists.
