★★★★★5 months agoIt is great to see all those musical instruments evolving within time and having different techniques to produce the sound. Audio guide is only musical pieces played by those instruments. Though I would prefer to hear only that instrument alone and maybe play some scales to show the timbre and range of notes. Then together with other instruments and how it can complement. It was impressive to see how cultures shared similar instruments and how the timbre also matches with the emotions they wrote the music for, independent of in which country it was played. As a minus, the museum didn't have a clear structure and jumping from one thing to another.

The Musical Instrument Museum (MIM) in Brussels. The building itself is a remarkable. A beautiful example of Art Nouveau architecture, with amazing details and strong character. In my opinion, it is one of the Art Nouveau buildings in Brussels with very high architectural quality. Inside... You will find a collection of more then 200 instruments. I highly recommend it to visit this interesting museum.
