★★★★★2 months agoOne of the many beautiful castles you can explore in beautiful Scotland. We loved the beautiful views from the upper walls, the green grass all around, and all the different places to explore. Some of the rooms have little description plaques on the walls. We walked the stairways, and explored every room in the castle. It was very peaceful and serene. We definitely recommend Craigmillar Castle for any travelers in the Edinburgh area.

★★★★★a month agoINCREDIBLE!!! Far more interesting than edinburgh castle as you can really imagine it in the era it was used. Lots of winding staircases and little rooms with info boards explaining their functions. There was probably only 10 other people in the entire Castle during our visit, meanwhile Edinburgh Castle feels claustrophobic and packed with thousands of people. MUST SEE!!
