Traveler reviews

★★★★★3 years agoThe Berlin Airlift Memorial is a great, free, attraction close to the airport. It is in walking distance from the Innercity Hotel. There is a great bike path/walking path that goes right by it. The directions on Google Maps brings you right to it. There is a great story connected to this memorial about Colonel Gail Halvorson and his dropping “candy bombs” to local children. The monument is in the center and it is surrounded by a C-54 and a C-57. You can take some really great photos of the planes and monument with incoming air traffic in the background. If you are staying at the hotel, waiting to leave out of the Frankfurt airport, I highly recommend walking to the Berlin Airlift Memorial.

★★★★★2 years agoMy kids enjoyed their time here though it is relatively a small park. But the airport is just a few minutes away by bus so the kids can have more playtime over at T2 McDonald’s and the sky terrace.
