★★★★★3 months agoFirstly, I'm an American who has been living in Germany now for 10 years. This was one of the places that my Husband took me when I first visited Germany and to this day it is still one of the places we take almost anyone who visits us to. Every family member or friend who visits we try to plan out a timeslot to go check out this garden. It is very beautiful. There are many huge greenhouses filled with many plants from around the world. It's like being in a plant zoo. Pretty much all of them have little plaques that say their names and Latin names and such. They have English translations. The ticket prices are very cheap and they offer student/child/senior discounts. Really, a very affordable lovely time. There is quite a bit of walking, and paths to take that snake and wind around the entire property, so I would advise wearing some comfy walking shoes. Personally, from my experience of visiting many times, the best time to visit is in May/Spring time. When a huge majority of the flowers and trees outdoors are blooming. There is also a small lake in the property where you can rent out paddle boats. Overall really great place and very scenic and a great places to get some amazing photos with your family and friends and photos of nature. Definitely recommend this for any non-natives and tourists as a budget friendly option.

★★★★★4 weeks agoPalmengarten Frankfurt is a beautiful botanical garden with an incredible variety of plants and flowers from around the world. Everything is thoughtfully arranged into different themed areas, making it enjoyable to explore at your own pace. My favorite part was the greenhouse filled with exotic tropical plants. Walking through the lush greenery felt like stepping into a rainforest, with vibrant colors and unique species everywhere. The gardens are peaceful, clean, and well maintained, making them perfect for a relaxing escape from the busy city. Whether you love nature, photography, or simply want a quiet afternoon, Palmengarten is definitely worth visiting.
