An excellent bakery offering drinks, snacks and cakes, eat in or take away, at reasonable prices. The English speaking staff are friendly and helpful. I recommend the scones and croissants with butter and jam and the lemon peel tea. What's really special is that they have their own bakery where you can see the baker preparing the dough (see photo).

We came here pretty much every day during the week we stayed in Funchal. Mainly because it was super convenient (Airbnb was 30 seconds away from here) and Google maps ratings were good. I can now confidently say that this place is just great. Very nice selection of pastries (we didn't have a single one that wasn't very good). Solid omelettes and toasts. Good coffee and excellent fresh orange juice. On top of that, very good service and good atmosphere inside. Didn't take too many pictures but definitely recommend this place. Just authentic and good (and not too basic or uncreative). Stop by if you get a chance.
