Highly recommended museum. Amazing animated documentary on city’s history on the 3d map. nice exhibitions, we lovedvthe winter exhibition. The wallpapers, old instruments, kitchen gadgets and household items were great. The lady upstairs next to the model of the city was super knowledgeable and explained interesting details about the city’s past. So nice to be able to see how cities evolve. Every city should have sn exhibition like this. It was a pay as you wish entry which felt very inclusive.

This pay-as-you-wish museuam was a great discovery and a respite from the heat outside. We loved discovering the oldest private residence in Geneva. From 1986 it has been home to the Museum of Urban History and Daily Life. It was so interesting to see how people used to live in Geneva from the Middle Ages to the 19th century. There are other displays like the one on the Bain Froid and at the very top the famous Magnin Relief model, a 3D zinc & copper model of 1850s Geneva before the walls were demolished. There is a WC in the basement. It's a bit damp but very much appreciated.
