The opera hous in Ghent dates back from 1840. Although the facade is elegant and classical and not at all flamboyant as many other opera houses from the outside. The 3 inner rooms are much more baroque and still breath the 19th century atmosphere: the foyer, concert hall and ball room are very intimate rooms. The opera scenery is also very cosy and has a very good acoustic. I had the opportunity during covid times to be one of only 200 participants to enjoy La Boheme from Puccini...splendid.
