She even bought my wife and me a shot of Jeneven for my wife’s birthday. The bar is full of character and definitely worth visiting. Good range of beers to choose from and a clean bar. We didn’t have food so can’t rate that.

We sat at the bar and the friendly barman happily reccomended beers to suit our tastes, which we all enjoyed. The clientele were all friendly and the atmosphere was quite relaxed. I was puzzled by a large, wooden box on the wall with lots of numbered brass slotts in it. Especially when I saw an old chap visit box and push some money through one of the slots, so I asked the bar man what it was for. You can ask him for yourself when you visit. Its well worth it for the beer, the great service, the friendly atmosphere and to solve the riddle of "The Box" I'll return on my next visit.
