“It takes about 40 minutes to hike up from the city center. I recommend starting about an hour before sunset. You can also go to the back of the lookout point, where there are beautiful views of the snow-capped mountains and hiking trails. I think this lookout point is the best attraction in Granada besides the Alhambra.”

“Really a nice place to come to watch the sunset. Unfortunately there were a bit too many clouds when we went but it was still a nice view.”

“This was wonderful, magnificent view of the Alhambra, very friendly stuff and actually good food. Can highly recommend taking in the sunset on the Mirador de San Nicolas and then walking down 5 minutes to this gem of a restaurant. Dining with a view of the Alhambra at night - what else could you want?”

“This was a highlight of our visit to Granada. We had come from a flamenco show and were hustling through the Albaicin streets to try to catch the sunset at San Nicolas when we saw a sign for Restaurante Mirador de Morayma. We decided to check it out, and it was amazing. As walk-ins we were initially given a table on the top level (furthest from the views) but when they had a few no-shows they moved us down. The food was fantastic, service was great, and prices were very reasonable. So glad that we stumbled upon it and decided to pop in!”

“We ordered a steak of solomillo vaca rubia with a platter of vegetables. The main food was our decision but the platter and the vine was the advice of Pablo who served foods. The food was in a superior level of quality and all the suggestions were amazingly matched the main dish. They offered us free tapas and a tasting of different olive oils. Pablo took care of us like a family member, smiling all the time. Once he realized the dinner was my wife’s birthday, he offered us a free dessert which was great. I highly recommend the place and would say thanks you Pablo.”

Common romantic trip mistakes in Granada
Ten traps that steal intimacy — and how to avoid them.

3. Overlooking Sunset Timing
Be mindful of sunset times, especially in winter when it sets earlier; plan your visits to viewpoints accordingly.

Popular restaurants like Restaurante Chikito can fill up quickly; make reservations well in advance.
5. Ignoring Local Customs
Respect local customs and dress codes, especially when visiting religious sites like the Alhambra.

7. Missing Out on Local Experiences
Don't skip local events like flamenco shows; they are a vital part of Granada's culture and romance.
8. Overpacking for the Weather
Be cautious about packing; Granada can be warm during the day and cool at night, so layers are key.
9. Neglecting to Explore Nature
Avoid just staying in the city; explore nearby parks like Parque Natural Sierra de Huétor for a romantic day in nature.
10. Rushing Your Itinerary
Take your time to enjoy the sights and experiences; rushing can lead to missing the romantic essence of Granada.
