★★★★★2 years agoHangzhou's famous Xi Hu is a very scenic lake. We visited via the Duan Qiao section. Firstly, traffic driving in is always very busy, suggest that you alight and walk in instead. We converted about 10 min driving time into a leisurely walk. The place seems always crowded and it's not even the weekend or school holidays or major holiday. But we enjoyed the bustling atmosphere, there was even a school running event. Go children! Take your time to walk around this section, this time of the year (Dec) the lotus plants have dried up and not as spectacular, there's still the lake views especially the famous Leifeng Pagoda and the legend of the Lady White Snake.
