★★★★★2 months agoHad a few drinks with my wife and we loved it. Tried the Phố drink and surprisingly it smells and tasted like pho. We also had other special drinks that were incredible. Loved the atmosphere and talking with the bartenders. They are great guys and love mixing drinks. We will be going back soon.

★★★★★4 months agoIt was my first time out of my home country, and I love researching the places I want to go to. In this case, I was looking for a bar in HCMC that is intimate but still has a lively atmosphere and I stumbled upon Climb on Instagram. I immediately sent them a message and this was two weeks prior to my arrival in HCMC. I asked if they serve cake (i was taking a chance haha) because I wanted to welcome my birthday there in a small way. I mentioned that I would be alone, and they replied that they would celebrate with me, which already showed how welcoming they are. When I got there, one of the staff, Hai Dang on IG haha, was already waiting for me downstairs, seemingly waiting for my arrival. Not gonna lie, I felt so VIP in that moment. We walked further and had to climb a few flights of stairs inside an old apartment building. But when we finally reached the bar, it was so cozy and the atmosphere just made everything feel like it clicked into place. It felt warm, intimate, and thoughtfully put together. I walked in and Gucci (owner) said, “HEY BIRTHDAY GIRL!” I was surprised because I’m a really lowkey person, but the attention felt nice haha. I ordered their whiskey sour and was shocked because it came in a bigger glass than what I’m used to in bars back home. Then Bob asked if he could take a picture of me with my drink, and next thing I knew, it turned into a surprise birthday. Gucci came out holding a cute little cake with a candle on top, and Kevin, my bartender that night, was holding sparklers. Gucci even managed to secretly tell everyone in the bar to sing me a happy birthday, which made the moment even more special. I got teary eyed (but cried the whole night lol) and wasn’t expecting anything like it. My heart was just bursting with appreciation. After that, Kevin said he would make me my own drink. He asked a few questions to match my preferences, and it turned out to be a total masterpiece. I swear these guys understand the artistry behind making premium cocktails. My custom drink was perfect — whiskey-based, sweet, slightly herbal, with a kick. Gucci kept me company while still entertaining the other guests. The bar staff also offered a snack and said it was from their hometown, because of that, we all ended up talking about where we came from. I really love this part of traveling, when you get to know people beyond the superficial. It felt so special. I was the last one to leave. They really took care of me all night. They were also mindful enough to give me water, which I always forget to drink. It was such a pleasant experience. It is definitely worth a few hundred thousand dongs. I really love the concept of the hidden bar, intimate and full of surprises. Please support this business. Everyone takes care of each other there, and Gucci is such a lovely boss to her team.
