A very interesting and well-preserved castle just outside Innsbruck, with a strong historical atmosphere. The interior is impressive, especially the collections of armor, art, and curiosities, which make the visit feel quite unique compared to other castles. The Spanish Hall is definitely a highlight. The gardens are also beautiful and perfect for a relaxing walk. There is also a small cafeteria on site, which is convenient during the visit. Overall, a great mix of history, architecture, and culture, definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area.

Visited Ambras castle as it was included in Innsbruck card and was suggested as a major tourist attraction of Innsbruck. To be honest, this was the first time that a castle turned out to be better than I expected. The castle location and architecture were stunning but the most impressive part were the exhibits inside it particularly the weapon collection in lower castle and glass collection in upper castle. Ferdinand had an eye for detail. The garden and exteriors of castle are also very impressive. Totally worth a visit if you are in innsbruck.
