I highly recommend visiting this museum in Innsbruck! It’s not a huge museum with two main floors of exhibits, but many of the objects were fascinating. The items are well organized and described. All the exhibits were well-kept and I especially loved the second floor with clothes, jewelry and old photos. Also the extensive parlors were well-preserved and atmospheric. Special shoutout to the very kind employee on the second floor today morning who gave a great overview of the second floor and showed guests the drawers in the costume room that you can open and observe. The only negative is the app which wouldn’t run in the background. But overall, a great experience!

A wonderful museum with a very interesting historical collection. You can visit the museum with an baby. There is a diaper-changing room. Your child can lie on the floor on a blanket (if you bring one with you). Our baby fell asleep in the baby carrier several times during our visit. The atmosphere is very peaceful. The staff is friendly, and there’s a wonderful selection of books in the gift shop.
