It is one of the hidden gems of Krakow - away from the old city and other attractions usually frequented by tourists, but if you happen to be around (to visit Zalew Nowohucki for example) check out this little park and Matejko’s manor. as of summer 2026 the museum is open for visitors on the weekends (Fri, Sun 11-7, Sat 11-5). Lots of beautiful furniture, paintings and sketches (including Matejko’s originals of course) and valuable objects from the artist’s era. A regular ticket costs 30 zloty and it includes a guided tour. more info on http://palac-sztuki.krakow.pl/muzea/dworek-jana-matejki/

Recently l came here to visit this place, and l had a nice time exploring the painters house and the surrounding park that the house sits in. I would highly recommend coming here.
