Impressive historic landmark in Kraków and definitely worth a visit if you’re nearby. The Barbican is beautifully preserved and gives you a real sense of the city’s medieval history. It’s not something that takes hours to see, but it’s a great stop while walking around the Old Town and the surrounding city walls. Lovely architecture, easy to find, and a great photo spot. Worth seeing as part of a walk around Kraków.

Seeing a building that survived over 6 centuries is somewhat surreal. For a building with so much history, the ticket is more than affordable. You can learn so much about the history of Krakow and Poland in general here. Highly recommend a visit here, but do check if the building is closed before you book your tickets. In case of that, I'd still recommend visiting and taking a good look at this defence giant. The Barbican is also surrounded with Planty, the biggest park in the city so it's very serene and peaceful.
