The Museum of Illusions is just on the outside of the Platny park surrounding Krakow old town, next to the Radisson Blu. It’s very well put together; two floors with multiple rooms on each floor and many illusions in each room. Most of them will be things that an adult has seen before, but there’s a difference between seeing a picture of a vase which can be two faces and seeing an actual vase. And I imagine that children who experience many of these illusions for the first time would have their minds blown a little. The staff are extremely helpful, courteous, and fun, offering to explain the illusions or take photos of you while experiencing the kaleidoscope or the upside down room. Heartily recommended as a way to spend an hour or two poking around and being impressed. (Please note: the “House of Illusions” in the centre of the old town is not this! That “house of illusions” is not the famous museum of illusions that the guide websites mention; this is.)

This is probably the first museum I’ve ever visited where you can touch, twist, and spin everything! A place where children are actually allowed to touch all the exhibits, and right after visitors, everything is carefully cleaned and ready for the next experiments. Special thanks to the staff for helping take photos for those who come alone with a child 🙂. I can’t even post photos, because this is something you have to see, read, and try yourself. Thank you for a wonderful museum and excellent service!
