Monte Fort is one of those places where history and scenery come together perfectly. Built in the 17th century, the fort once protected Macau, but today it’s a calm, open space that offers panoramic views of the city — from the historic center to the glitzy casino skyline in the distance. The walk up is fairly easy, especially if you’re already visiting the nearby Macao Museum or the Ruins of Saint Paul’s. Once on top, you’ll find old cannons lined along the walls, grassy patches, stone paths, and plenty of spots to take photos or simply relax above the city buzz.

Monte Forte is one great spot in Macau. I really like the mix of history and the amazing views from the top, and it’s always worth the climb. It has such a nice atmosphere, especially if you go when the weather is good, and it’s just a great place to take in Macau from above.
