*visited on 10/12/2025: Silk Roads beyond Borders As someone who likes historical exhibitions, this Museum visit was one of the highlights of our trip. My boyfriend & I spent the most time in the ceramics section: the wares and porcelain were so beautiful! It was also interesting to learn how different cultures influenced the artisanal craft. We appreciate the interactive panels that explains more details about the item on display. I was a bit disappointed in the instrument section though. The descriptive text is put on the floor whereas the item is put way up. Did they expect visitors to crouch/squat down to read the tiny text? Either way, entry is free and it is an excellent themed exhibition. Would recommend anyone to stop by and have a look if they have time to spare.

It’s not really a “museum” but rather a special historic exhibition focusing on the Silk Road theme. Located within MGM Macau and it’s free admission even you need to obtain an entrance ticket but the ticket is actually free and can be obtained just at the entrance. No food, liquid or umbrella allowed inside so you will have to put it at the temporary storage area provided before the entrance. Inside the exhibition you can feel the grand fusion between ancient and technology.
