What couples say about Manchester

Real Google reviews that mention anniversaries, proposals, honeymoons, and date nights — not invented testimonials.

Watched the Riverdance 30th anniversary show. Amazing talents on show. Good views from the seats we were at (quite far back in the circle area). The seats were certainly made for when people were smaller, hence not a huge amount of leg room. Great sound and lighting. Staff very helpful in directing us to where we needed to go.

The Millennium Bridge near the Lowry links Salford Quays to the Imperial War Museum North and offers impressive views of the water and surrounding architecture. It's a well-maintained pedestrian swing bridge that adds a bit of character to the area. Walking across it gives you a great perspective on the Quays, especially at sunset or when events are happening nearby. It’s a practical crossing but also a good photo spot, especially with the Lowry, BBC buildings, and MediaCityUK in the background. It's a small but memorable part of a visit to this part of Greater Manchester.

Love the Bridgewater canal, it's a regular walk for my self and my wife, we normally follow the old roe green railway line and then get onto the canal at monton and follow it towards Leigh. Lots of pubs and eateries along it so plenty of stops for food and booze
