La demeure, évoquée dans “Le Château de ma mère” de Marcel Pagnol est la mémoire de l’héroïque commandant de Robien, l’un des propriétaires en 1907. Propriété de la ville pendant des dizaines d’années, centre d’entraînement du GIGN, le Château était à l’abandon depuis 1988 malgré le combat d’une association portée par Frédéric Lafage et sa sœur Gaëlle. En novembre 2016 la première pierre de l’ambitieux projet de l’Hôtel la Grande loge de France a été posée annonçant, enfin, le renouveau du Château de Saint Antoine en juin 2018.
