The Holy Prophet (PBUH) is also said to have prayed here during Hajj and according to one tradition, praying 100 Rakat here is equivalent to 70 years of worship. It is typically only opened during Hajj season and people often worship here all night during their stay in Mina.

The Prophet Muhammad also prayed and delivered sermon here during Hajjat al Wada. Today, it serves as the main gathering point for over 25,000 pilgrims during the annual Hajj rituals. Know that Masjid Al-Khaef is not a Jami' Masjid, so even during Hajj days no Friday prayer is observed there.
