SATOSHI MATSUMOTO (Sato)
★★★★★3 months agoThis place is still underrated by tourists. There are not just only for the the original codex Atlantico by Leonardo da Vinci, but also a lot of precious collections by Borromeo family. As the family name is named at the many hospitals in Europe, you can feel how Borromeo family is deeply rooted in Milan. Highly recommend for visits.

★★★★★a month agoPinacoteca Ambrosiana is a truly magnificent art gallery right in the heart of Milan, short walk from Duomo. It houses an incredible collection of Renaissance art, including masterpieces by Caravaggio, Botticelli, and Raphael's preparatory sketch for the School of Athens. The highlight for me was the opportunity to see Leonardo da Vinci's original drawings and notes in the Codex Atlanticus exhibition. The museum itself is housed in a beautiful historic building with an old library, and it is pleasantly uncrowded compared to other major attractions. It is a must-visit for any art and history lover!
