★★★★★a year agoA place with a lot of history for the classical music enthusiasts. It’s an enjoyable activity in which you can see the instruments used for the plays as well as the place where the magic happens. I would recommend to buy your tickets in advance, because you’ll be able to enter the museum immediately. Please take into consideration that there is a possibility that the lights will be off during your visit at the stage, as the staff are changing the setting during the day. Besides that, I consider it a really important part of Milan.

★★★★★5 months agoThis place is a must to visit for all opera affictionados coming to Milan. I came for my first La Scala opera performance in the late 1950-s and still remember the black evening gala dresses and smokings which were the habit of that time. Now, in March of 2026 they feature the Nibelungen Ring by Wagner, a heavy repertoire that I'm not a fan of. So I took time to visit this very interesting museum where you can also take a look into the theatre, as magnificent as ever. If you are into opera, don't miss this coming here for a couple of hours. Come here during lunch hours in the week to avoid long queues in front of the ticket office.
