It was a wonderful experience, we took a guided tour of the complex. (This cost an additional 2 euros on top of the admission fee, but it was well worth it.) We got to see structures that are thousands of years old beneath the monastery. I highly recommend it!

(Reviewing as a tourist) Thoroughly enjoyed our chance visit. It wasn't expensive, a 9€ entry and 2€ for guided tour. I would 100% recommend the guided tour which is the best way to learn all about the history. There were 2 floors beneath the patio, lots of remains of the once popular Naples market... lots of fun learning about the influences of both Greek and Romans here.
