An exquisite experience of modern twist on classic art by a world famous sculpture artist. Both the sculptures andthe story behind are fascinating! The tour takes 10-30 minutes depending on your preference, and is guided by people from the neighborhood. + Bonus: You support local community and restoration efforts. 10/10 I recommend.

This was honestly my favorite place I visited in my life. Jago is a genius, no other way to say it. The level of detail in his sculptures is unreal. You feel like you’re looking at real skin, not marble or plaster. The texture, the softness, even the difference between male and female bodies is so precise it almost feels alive. Some of the sculptures feel like they’re watching you. The eyes follow you as you move, which makes the whole experience very intense. He also plays with gender in a very subtle way, some figures feel intentionally undefined, which makes you stop and look longer. The piece that affected me the most was Ajax and Cassandra. I was completely in awe standing in front of it. I stayed there for around 20 minutes just moving around it, taking in every angle. It captures pain, violence, aggression, victory, and shock all at once in a way that is honestly overwhelming. I also loved the plaster David, a female interpretation that he plans to turn into a much larger marble sculpture. The space itself isn’t big, but it’s very well arranged inside an old church, so you can frame multiple sculptures together and create beautiful compositions if you enjoy photography. This place is more than a museum. It’s an experience that stays with you forever.
