A very beautiful museum, with a vast collection. It was well organised, and we had the chance to view some extra collections, aside from the regular, such as the egyptian, and one dedicated to parthenope. The ticket (20€) is worth it but you have to have an open schedule, to be able to stay at the museum for the appropriate time needed. The ticket for uni students under 25 is 2€, making it one of the cheapest tickets for a museum in Europe, and one of the best deals, considering what you get to see.

Easy to find on foot and, having bought a ticket in advance, walked straight in. This is a fantastic museum, largely filled with the magnificent statues, fresco's and artwork found when excavating Pompeii and Herculanmum. Many beautiful items in near perfect condition. I would highly recommend that anyone looking to visit those sites starts with a trip to this museum.
