★★★★★2 months agoAn amazing elevated garden in the center of Paris that stretches almost 5km with multiple access points across the city. Stretching for almost five kilometres across the 12th arrondissement, this narrow raised park follows the route of the old Vincennes railway line, which was abandoned in the 1960s. We visited in mid May and the gardens were filled with flowering trees and schrubs, roses and many spring flowers. The colors are beautiful. Bordering the raised garden are many buildings that are apartments or wide avenues lined with trees. Totally worth a visit while in Paris, no crowds, no noise, no tour groups, just green plants, birds and trees.
