Lovely museum, Can spend a good few hours in here and really shows what Roman life would or could have been like. Really is breathtaking to see how Rome and the Romans really developed the city and even to this day how much of impact they’ve had on the world! Back to the museum it’s vast and shows multiple layers of Rome, the market and lots of artefacts. Really nice views of the fatherland and surrounding areas. Well worth a visit and if you go in the summer a nice escape from the heat!

Much quieter, and less known, than the hotspots across the road, even though it is a huge and well preserved site on many different levels. Make sure you watch the short film in the first room after entering as the history of the site is fascinating and makes sense of what you are seeing. We paid for the mobile size audio tour but were disappointed by the quality, being more dramatised than informative. The information boards on display were more than sufficient.
