The museum consists of basically two small rooms but still has so many banned books on display. Not only is there an explanation for the ban of every book and in which country, but you are also allowed to pick them up and read them. It is really interesting to see what gets banned, by who and where. I was surprised by how many childrens books were affected.

An exceptional, engaging, and thought provoking museum! A wide variety of books that have been banned or censored from across the world, each with a short but engaging story attached. Best of all, you can pick up and read (almost) all the books! They've done a great job of curating a selection of books where some should make you outraged while some might make you think, "Well, fair enough!" The children's books section was my favourite. Definitely worth stopping in - it's free entry! Of course, make a donation if you can, or buy their special edition of 1984 with the original editing (and even reinserting some of the original spelling errors from the first edition!)
