★★★★★Edited 2 months agoWe visited all four towers and the catacombs. The main highlights are definitely the first tower, Maiden Tower, and the city walls. The third tower is essentially a café, while the fourth is mainly a collection of chairs displayed by decade. The catacombs are basically a shelter that was used for different purposes throughout different periods. If you are short on time, I would recommend visiting only Maiden Tower. If you are able to climb to the top, the effort is well worth it — the stairs on the last two floors are quite narrow and are used for both ascending and descending, but the panoramic view of the city is a great reward.

★★★★★a month agoThe tower and the walk along the city wall are enjoyable, especially with children. Most of the exhibition is designed for younger visitors, with a few interactive displays and games. As an adult, I didn’t find it particularly engaging, so I probably wouldn’t visit it again. The exception is the Bastion Passages, which require a separate ticket. They were much more interesting, taking you through the history of Tallinn’s fortifications and showing how the tunnels were used for different purposes over the centuries. At the end, there’s also a small exhibition about historic stone carving. If you have to choose one, I’d recommend the Bastion Passages.
