★★★★★a week agoIf you want to see the masterpiece, be sure to check the exhibition schedule beforehand, as it isn't always included in the permanent collection. That said, it is absolutely worth a visit! You'll discover the incredible impact Katsushika Hokusai 葛飾北齋had on various Japanese industries, which widely adopted his drawing guidebooks. It makes for a fascinating learning experience. I was also deeply impressed by the artwork of his daughter, Katsushika Ōi 葛飾應為, even though the museum only displays reproductions rather than her original pieces 🥲. Overall, it's a truly meaningful experience to explore the life and artistic history of this pioneering master.
