A great museum about how Edo transformed into the modern city of Tokyo. This place is very busy with a lot of people, there are long lines to get tickets and only 4 machines. Inside of the museum you can find some really cool tiny scale models of the streets of Edo. You can also see replicas of the interiors of houses used by ordinary people. There are very large models as well such as the Nakamura-za kabuki theater. A great place to explore the city's past.

Great museum to learn about Tokyo's history in the beginning of a trip. I've been here twice taking different groups visiting Tokyo and everytime it's been a good learning experience. Wish there was more artifacts, less simple printed posters on the wall. But the historical context and practical Info graphic charts are great context to read.
