What couples say about Turin
Real Google reviews that mention anniversaries, proposals, honeymoons, and date nights — not invented testimonials.

“The Fountain of the Months (Fontana dei 12 Mesi) in Turin is a stunning landmark from the Italian General Exhibition of 1898, celebrating the fiftieth anniversary of the Albertine Statute. Designed by architect Carlo Ceppi, this beautiful fountain is the only permanent structure remaining from the event held in Valentino Park. Constructed with modern concrete, the fountain elegantly blends traditional styles with innovative design. It features four groups of statues representing the rivers of Turin—Po, Dora, Sangone, and Stura—along with twelve graceful female figures symbolizing the months of the year. The Fountain of the Months is not only a significant piece of history but also a breathtaking example of artistic achievement, making it a must-see for anyone visiting Turin.”

“We chose Cannavacciuolo Bistrot Torino to celebrate our wedding anniversary, and overall it was a memorable fine dining experience. Located in a beautiful neighborhood just outside Turin’s city center, the restaurant has an elegant and understated atmosphere, exactly what you would expect from a restaurant of this level. The dining room is refined, and the service was impeccable throughout the evening—professional, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. We chose the Grand Tasting Menu with the wine pairing, and the wines were thoughtfully selected, complementing each course beautifully. The evening started with a series of chef’s welcome bites, all beautifully executed and setting high expectations for what followed. Among the tasting menu, the Sweetbreads, Shrimp and Lettuce was one of the standout dishes, while the single-vineyard Merlot served with the main course was undoubtedly the wine pairing highlight of the evening. As we were celebrating our wedding anniversary, the team surprised us with an additional dessert prepared especially for the occasion, accompanied by their warm wishes. It was a thoughtful gesture on top of the dessert already included in the tasting menu and made the evening feel even more special. From a culinary perspective, the menu started with remarkable intensity, delivering course after course of bold, refined flavors. As the dinner progressed, however, it felt as though it lost a little of its initial momentum. This may have been influenced by the rather warm temperature in the dining room—possibly due to our table’s proximity to the kitchen—or by the noticeable pauses between courses, as our dinner lasted almost three hours. The only aspect that slightly affected the experience was the atmosphere. Throughout much of the evening, the restaurant manager spent a considerable amount of time chatting with guests at a nearby table. The conversation gradually became quite lively, prompting the surrounding tables to raise their voices as well, resulting in a level of noise that felt slightly out of place for a Michelin-starred dining room. Overall, Cannavacciuolo Bistrot Torino is a restaurant of a very high standard. Excellent cuisine, flawless service, thoughtful wine pairings, and genuine hospitality made it a wonderful place to celebrate a special occasion. With a slightly quieter dining room and a smoother pace between courses, the experience would have been truly exceptional.”

“Came in here for an evening meal with my Italian girlfriend and as a British man living here in Italy, the food made me feel at home. I ordered a roast beef and my girlfriend a fish & chips. Both very tasty. The owners, Adam & Manu were amazing. Super kind and attentive and worth the visit alone ❤️ we will be back.”
