A fabulous house with many insightful anecdotes into Malta’s history through the De Piro’s family history. The house is still in private hands and the first floor and underground complex and bomb shelters are open to the public. Highlights include the richly decorated chambers, the three stunning Murano glass chandeliers, the 1949 Bentley (still used to this day) and Kiku III on his perch in the café area.

This is definitely the place you want to visit. Easygoing viewing with an audio guide and lots of family trees and old books, paintings of the noble family, and details from their life and travels. Full of light and noble Maltese history. And don't forget to say hi to Kiko. 🦜💚
