★★★★★a month agoWe went to Fort Rinella in mid June 2026 mainly because my husband has a family connection with Lord Armstrong. We were met by the famous Simon and had a wonderful tour, as described by many other visitors. The place is run by volunteers who have done a fantastic job of restoration so far and have more projects planned. Simon was so well informed and enthusiastic, we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. It is quite easy to get to although off the main tourist trail. We got a Bolt from the three cities ferry which was quick and not expensive then we got a bus back . I would recommend this to anyone even if they are not gun enthusiasts. I think those with primary school aged children would find it very interesting and a bit different. There is a very good museum and apparently often there are re-enactments. And splendid views across to Fort Ricasoli and Valletta. Really hot though as the gun emplacement is quite exposed. Possibly not the most accessible site for those with mobility issues! No cafe but I think there is a vending machine for drinks.

★★★★★a month agoThis place is amazing and am so surprised more people don't visit here. I understand its a little out of the way, but still worth the visit. Simon our guide was amazing he really knows his stuff and is very friendly and answered all questions I had. Come on people come and visit the 100 ton gun its an amazing site really. One of my utmost highlights of malta for sure.
