I highly recommend booking your tickets online in advance to save time. One important tip: if you want to see the Caravaggio paintings, make sure the oratory rooms are open on the day of your visit. We had to wait three days because they were closed on April 7th and 8th, finally getting to see them on April 9th. It is a spectacular sight that you simply cannot miss! Highly recommended.
