Coming from Washington, D.C., my heart is drawn to places of serenity, and that was found here at Liechtensteinpark. I had hoped to tour the Gartenpalais Liechtenstein but wasn’t able to this time. However, to see their Adventplatz (Advent im Gartenpalais Liechtenstein) was a pleasant surprise. Strolling along the walking paths of Liechtensteinpark felt very peaceful, and the sound of children’s laughter in the playground was truly endearing. It was hard to leave, and I already look forward to returning.

My favourite park in the city! Small, beautiful, tranquil, full of birds, squirrels and ducks swimming in the charming pond. There are two impressive buildings in the park, along with a cafe/wine bar under the trees. Don't miss it if you're in the 9th district!
