I was recommended this place by a friend who studied in Zurich, and it did not disappoint! The prices were very affordable! The service was good, with servers who spoke English, which made ordering easy. The food was quite tasty overall. I highly recommend the schnitzel and the pork knuckle, which was huge. The sausage, however, was a bit too soft for my taste.

We were looking for an affordable restaurant in Zürich, which was very hard to find but lo behold we found this gem in the city center. This place is mostly for locals and has lots of communal seating. It’s louder than the typical restaurant but we did go late at night around 9:30 so there was not really a lot of noise at this time and we were seated immediately. The waitress was super friendly and attentive. The menu selection is great. As I said, the prices are amazing for Zürich. Beer came out nice and cold and beautiful glasses. The food was amazing probably some of the best we had on our trip. I love the local famous dish of the veal and mushroom and cream sauce with rosti. This was just spectacular. I could not order it at any other restaurant because I knew it would not live up to the one I had here. My husband got the schnitzel with the rosti with a melted cheese and Lardon on top and also a side of the pepper gravy sauce, which was very delicious. Overall, an amazing meal at a great price in the city center. We would definitely go here over a lot of other famous beer halls in the city.
