★★★★★Edited 4 months agoUnfortunately I couldn’t attend a performance, but the building and its setting are absolutely beautiful. 🏛️ What Stands Out - Elegant, historic architecture with detailed façade - Prime location right by the lake - Open square in front that enhances the whole view 🌿 Experience Even just walking by, it feels like a cultural centerpiece of the area—refined, scenic, and lively. 🏁 Takeaway Even without going inside, it’s worth visiting for the architecture and location alone.

★★★★★10 months agoThe Zurich Opera is one of my favorites anywhere. It's a small and charming 19th century theater, with excellent acoustics and sight lines, and some of the best singers and one of the best opera orchestras anywhere. The repertory is diverse, and audiences are respectful and quiet. The location by the lake is spectacular. If you visit Zurich you really should try to catch a performance. Performances tend to sell out, so it's best to book in advance.
