Bangkok never fails to amaze! 🌆✨ Had an absolutely fantabolous experience with breathtaking scenes overlooking the entire city skyline. The views from the top were simply amazing — especially during sunset when the whole city lights up in golden shades. One of the highlights was trying the Tilt experience — where you literally lean out on the edge of the building high above the city! 😱🔥 It was thrilling, unforgettable, and something I would highly recommend to everyone visiting here. If you’re in Bangkok and love stunning city views mixed with adventure, this place is a must-visit! 🇹🇭💫

The entrance fee is around 1,500 THB, but the view is absolutely worth it. Sunset is the best time to go — golden hour up there is a must-see and perfect for beautiful photos. You can also have a drink and a small snack, and the glass platform is definitely worth trying. Even going up 74 floors felt incredibly smooth — we didn’t feel any pressure in our ears at all. Very well done.

Bangkok’s temple scene is stacked, but Wat Paknam Phasi Charoen truly stands out 🌟. If you’re in Thailand’s capital and want something epic yet peaceful, this is the spot. The massive white Buddha statue is jaw-dropping—seriously, it’s one of the biggest in Bangkok, and it just gleams in the sunlight. Don’t miss golden hour when the entire place gets bathed in soft, magical light—sunset lovers, take note! Wander the manicured grounds for a calm escape from Bangkok’s chaos. Entry is completely free, which makes it perfect for budget travelers or if you just want a serene space to recharge. The legendary glass relic chamber inside the temple, housing sacred Buddhist relics, is worth your time—make sure to pop inside for a truly unique experience. It’s a must, whether you’re on a spiritual journey or just adore visually stunning places. Quick Guide: Wat Paknam Phasi Charoen 300, Ratchamongkhon Prasat Alley, Pak Khlong Phasi Charoen, Phasi Charoen, Bangkok 10160, Thailand Open daily, 6:00–20:00 Getting Here: The easiest way is to take the BTS Skytrain to Wutthakat Station or Talat Phlu, then walk or grab a quick taxi ride to the temple. Pro Tips: - Visit before 10 am or after 4pm for sunset to avoid crowds and heat. - Shoes off inside temple buildings, and dress respectfully (cover shoulders/knees). - Bring your camera—this is one of Bangkok’s most photogenic spots! Don’t skip the riverside walk behind the temple—great for photos with the Buddha and cityscape.

Very beautiful and peaceful place, perfect to relax at sunset. On the western side the entrance is a little tricky to find, it's inside Chaloem Phra Kiat Forest Park. On the eastern side the entrance is near Ong Ang Canal

    Chao Phraya Sky Park

Chao Phraya Sky Park is an absolute hidden gem in the heart of Bangkok. It offers a unique and peaceful escape from the bustling city, seamlessly blending modern urban green space with stunning, panoramic views of the Chao Phraya River. The elevated walkway allows you to enjoy a refreshing breeze while taking in the beautiful sights of both the historic and modern sides of the city, including iconic landmarks and passing river boats. It is incredibly well-maintained, clean, and safe, making it a perfect spot for a leisurely stroll, reading a book, or simply unwinding after a long day. I highly recommend visiting during the late afternoon or early evening to catch a breathtaking sunset. The lighting and the cool breeze make the experience even more magical. Whether you are a local looking for a tranquil retreat or a traveler wanting to experience Bangkok from a beautiful vantage point, this sky park is definitely worth a visit. A wonderful, free public space that brings nature and river views together beautifully!

Octave Rooftop Lounge & Bar is one of those places that completely lives up to the hype. The panoramic city views at night are absolutely breathtaking, and watching Bangkok light up from the rooftop makes the experience unforgettable. The cocktails were beautifully crafted, refreshing, and worth trying, while the food was equally impressive with great flavours and presentation. What stood out the most was the service, everyone was warm, attentive, and made us feel genuinely welcome without being overbearing. The atmosphere strikes the perfect balance between lively and relaxed, making it ideal for a date night, celebrations, or simply enjoying a drink with friends. I’d recommend arriving before sunset so you can experience both the golden hour and the sparkling skyline after dark. It isn’t the cheapest rooftop bar, but the overall experience, stunning views, excellent food, and fantastic hospitality make it well worth the visit at the top of Marriott. I would happily come back the next time I’m in Bangkok.

Common romantic trip mistakes in Bangkok

Ten traps that steal intimacy — and how to avoid them.

  1. 1. Dining at Tourist-Trap Restaurants

Avoid places like 'Tourist Trap Thai' which overcharge and lack authentic flavors.

  2. 2. Staying in Noisy Areas

Avoid Khao San Road for a romantic stay; consider quieter neighborhoods like Sukhumvit.

  3. 3. Missing Sunset Timing

Check sunset times before heading to rooftop bars; arriving too late can ruin the experience.

  4. 4. Overbooking Activities

  5. 5. Ignoring Local Customs

Be mindful of dress codes at temples like Wat Paknam Phasi Charoen; cover shoulders and knees.

  6. 6. Not Making Reservations

Popular spots like Sirocco require reservations; book in advance to secure a table.

  7. 7. Neglecting Weather Considerations

Bangkok can be hot; dress lightly and stay hydrated, especially during outdoor activities.

  8. 8. Overlooking Cultural Experiences

Don't miss out on cultural sites like The Grand Palace; they offer rich experiences beyond dining.

  9. 9. Choosing the Wrong Season

Avoid the rainy season (May-October) for a more enjoyable romantic getaway.

  10. 10. Staying Too Short

A weekend is usually not enough; aim for at least 3-5 days to explore and relax.
